Hey! I’m Gabby, the founder of SINC!
I have loved netball from the moment I went to my first netball session as a 5 year old. I fell in love with the game and haven't looked back since. I have recently retired from my professional playing career and can now focus on my passion for coaching!
I received my first elite playing contract when I was 25 and spent the next 8 years playing professional netball.
MY PLAYING CAREER
COLLINGWOOD MAGPIES (Super Netball) 2019-2022
CARDIFF DRAGONS (UK Super League) 2023
MELBOURNE MAVERICKS (Super Netball) 2024
BIRMINGHAM PANTHERS (UK Super League) 2025
SUNSHINE COAST LIGHTNING (Super Netball) 2026
I grew up in Melbourne and spent my junior and senior years of netball in Victoria.
My junior/senior pathway:
Club Netball (age 5)
Representative Netball (U15 & U17)
Victorian Netball League (VNL) (U19 --> Open)
Australian Netball League (ANL) (age 21 - 24)
Super Netball/UK superlegue (age 25 - 33)
My journey is different to most because I didn't follow the typical Netball Victoria pathway of being involved in academies and underage state teams. I wasn't selected in any underage state teams.
"My journey is different to most because I didn't follow the typical Netball Victoria pathway"
My years of netball between the age of 20-24 were some of the most challenging years. The amount of times I thought I was one step closer to reaching my dream, to the next year not being selected was extremely tough.
My Journey was full of uncertainty, resilience, hard work and above all making the most of the opportunities that came my way.
"It was a very challenging journey. It has taught me so much about myself and many life skills along the way."
It was a tough start to netball in 2018. I wasn't re offered a training parnership at Collingwood. I trialed for Netball Victoria's ANL side and also didn't make that. Meaning, I wouldn't be playing in the ANL (underpinning level for Super Netball).
At that point I'd come to terms with the fact that that was probably the last chance for me to keep pursuing my dream of playing elite netball.
Due to injury, I was asked to play a few games here and there throughout that ANL season with Collingwood as a replcement player. I thought I may as well give it one last shot. I ended up playing in the grandfinal and played one of my best games of netball. Following that year I was offered my first professional contract with Collingwood in Super Netball.
The journey to playing sport at the elite level is incredibly tough. Even junior levels are becoming more and more competitive.
My journey challenged me in ways I never thought possible. However these challenges ultimately led to growth and finding the inner strength to keep going. I want to support athletes to overcome these challeneges and build confidence in their ability and mindset to continue to pursure their dreams.
I want SINC to be a place where everybody feels valued for who they are as an individual and netballer. An environment where you feel safe and can enjoy all things netball. I created SINC to enable all athletes to have access to high quality coaching, particularly those who have not been selected for teams and are striving towards the next level. In addition, supporting those just starting out on their netball journey to understand the game and refine their skills.
From my experiences and opportunities in high perormance sport, I have learnt many skills and have an extensive understanding of the game. I want to share this knowledge and empower athletes to achieve their goals both on and off the court.
I studied Nursing at Deakin University. I worked as a Registered Nurse until I received my first professional netball contract.
I have been coaching for many years now and love supporting athletes to be their best.
I love travel and exploring the world.
